The aim was not to oversimplify the science but keep it easy to read

Turning complex science into clear investor-ready medical illustrations
When this client came to us, they needed to explain a highly technical chemical reaction that takes place in the body after a pill is swallowed. The process was scientifically robust, but the challenge was how to communicate it clearly to a non-technical audience.
The diagrams they had were being prepared internally and great for use within the scientific community but not suitable for as front facing illustrations, they needed to do more than be accurate, they had to be simple to understand too, as a glance.
The diagrams they had were being prepared internally and great for use within the scientific community but not suitable for as front facing illustrations, they needed to do more than be accurate, they had to be simple to understand too, as a glance.
They had to help investors understand the product, the process and the potential behind it without requiring a scientific background.
What the client needed from investor-ready medical illustrations
The client had a strong technical understanding of the product, but no in-house illustration capability. Their existing diagrams were informative from a scientific point of view, but too complex for an investor audience.
They needed a presentation partner who could quickly understand the underlying science, translate it into something more accessible, and create visuals that felt clear, professional and commercially credible.
The illustrations also needed to sit within a wider investment story, helping support a case for further scientific development and testing of the pill.
How we turned technical diagrams into investor-facing visuals
We began with a series of meetings to understand the product, the science behind it and the specific chemical reaction the client needed to explain. These sessions helped us absorb the technical detail and identify the parts of the process that mattered most from a communication point of view. This is our for process for all Clinical clients.
Investor-ready medical illustrations
From there, we took the original technical diagrams and rebuilt them into clearer, more investor-friendly illustrations.
The aim was not to oversimplify the science, but to present it in a way that made the sequence, mechanism and significance easier to follow.
We refined the structure, hierarchy and visual flow of the diagrams so they could support the narrative of the investment memorandum. The final illustrations were designed to feel polished, purposeful and accessible, helping the client present a complex medical process with greater clarity and confidence.
Supporting the investment memorandum with website design
Alongside the illustrations, we also designed and built a website to support the memorandum. The website acted as an additional presentation tool, helping the client communicate the opportunity more clearly and strengthen their case for investment to fund further scientific development and testing of the pill.
The result was a set of medical illustrations that translated a complicated internal chemical process into a form that non-technical investors could understand more easily.
By combining technical understanding with visual communication, we helped the client move from specialist source material to clear, investor-facing assets that formed the foundation of the memorandum.
The supporting website extended that story digitally, giving the client a stronger platform to present the opportunity and support conversations around future investment, scientific development and product testing.
